The act of drawing makes me look. It is a tactile pleasure and discipline and a vital means to connect with the world. I use many materials, including graphite, charcoal, wax crayon and ink. Ink wash, fluid and indelible, is an invigorating partner in work; one races after the surprises and adapts to unplanned marks.
